Who am I?

Born Feb 1973. Married with 3 children.

Running and Fitness:

Ive run as far back as I can remember. From school sports to club and county level competition and finally for myself, my business and as an example to my children.

Since 1998 I have been running anything I can over and above the marathon distance. Sometimes in an organised event but mostly for myself and with 1 or 2 like minded idiots (my wifes description of my mates and quite fitting I think).

Below are a few achievements Im most proud of:

Though running has been the dominant sport in my life, Ive climbed and hill walked since childhood and more recently surfed. Im also a frustrated weight lifter in a runners body! These days however my family comes first, but I find this just adds value to any time I do get.

Profession:

Pre-coaching I worked with children and young adults with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.
I found my running not only helped me with the demands of the work but also became an example and ultimately a tool many used to manage their own behaviours. Im not talking long arduous 10Ks here but a gentle jog or brisk walk. To some this little bit of exercise made a huge difference.

In 1999 this led me into my first role as a fitness instructor and now with 1000s of hours of experience I now specialise in Exercise & Endurance Coaching for both beginners and experienced runners alike.

The exercise part allows me to educate and train an individual in proper posture, stability, strength and movement to achieve their respective aim whatever it may be. The endurance side couples together 1000s of hrs training clients and myself to run, making me well qualified and experienced to train anyone running any distance up to and including ultra-marathons; whether youre a beginner or seasoned runner. I am particularly good at a limited available time training and for years have trained people to run London Marathon who can only give 3-6hrs per week to their running schedule.
